Based on 1510 user reviews. 80. Edge Magazine. This is the best entry in its genre since Bayonetta, and might just be the best game Ninja Theory has made to date. 90. Eurogamer Italy. Technically perfectible but very, very, very entertaining. Ninja Theory's Devil May Cry is a hell of a lot of fun, with tons of gameplay modes and combos to unleash.
Devil May Cry 4 is a nice installment in the series, and it has everything one would expect from the DMC franchise. Flashy, anime-style combat, guns AND swords (like peanut butter and jelly, they just work well together), tons of monstrous demons and last but not least, the classic Dante, with all of his corny jokes, innuendo and lighthearted devil-hunting style.
And Devil May Cry 2, which is as good a place to start on this review as any. DmC never should have happened in the first place, because any intelligent gaming company wouldn't repeat the same mistake multiple times over.

Devil May Cry 4 is the first next gen offering in this critically acclaimed series. This also marks the first time the series has appeared on a non Sony console. The game has some mighty shoes to climb into after Devil May Cry 3 and for the most part, the game succeeds.
