Just remember - when you put the new filter in, fill it with diesel or you WILL get a fuel airlock and the Kuga won't start. The EGR cannot be blanked without re-programming the ECU.
Still managed to start car and drive. Have replaced battery in fob, and checked contacts etc. Checked fuse in car and that seems OK. Still does not unlock or lock car. Doing this with key. I tried starting car with the key fob inside the house, and the display comes up with 'key not detected', so obviously car can still detect if key is present
I bought a scanner and received the code P0402 which states "the EGR valve has excessive exhaust flow." However, in my Haynes manual it does not show where the EGR valve is located on the 5.0L engine. I believe it is located back near the firewall, closer to the passenger side than the driver, but near the middle of the engine.
